Andrew MacLachlan

Founder & General Manager

Andrew founded Cyber Warden in 2023 after almost 30 years in the tech sector, and has experience of a diverse range of market verticals, geographies, and company cultures.
In 2005 Andrew developed an extremely effective and successful email security virtual appliance, which lives on to this day in various guises, and has protected billions of emails sent to thousands of companies, organizations, and even families for the last 20 years.

We like to think that we have a good understanding of what our customers need, but we are always ready to listen, because no two companies are the same, and one size certainly does not fit all when it comes to IT or CyberSecurity solutions. Many of the improvements in our service over time have been due to customer and partner requests.

Guiding Principles
Our guiding principle is that effective Cybersecurity should be at best invisible to end users, or at worst doesn't disrupt business process. We believe that Cybersecurity is not something that you can just buy, or set and forget, but involves a mix of technical, physical, and administrative controls, and these controls need to be reviewed and adjusted on a regular basis, and need to be combined with an effective education program.
Preparation is the key to success - that is true in all areas of our lives. We study for exams, we train for sports events, and we must also prepare for business disruption. The amount of disruption experienced in an incident is inversely proportional to the level of preparation. Preparation needn't be difficult, or expensive, it just needs to be effective.
We don't intend to replace your existing IT team (we don't do general IT work), rather we suppliment your existing team with our specialist knowledge and services.
